Harry Potter Tag for bloggers
I am a huge Harry Potter geek and love everything about the Wizarding World that has taken the universe by storm. I have read all the books at least 5 times, watched all of the films more times than I would like to admit, have Harry Potter clothes, pjs, stationary, I am lucky enough to have been to Harry Potter World in Universal Studios, Orlando and I’m still waiting for my Hogwarts Letter. In fact the only thing I haven’t done is visited the Harry Potter studios in Leavesden, Hertfordshire – which is shocking really as I live nearby and worked in Watford for 8 years!
So this Harry Potter related tag is my idea of great fun, and as my first ever blogger tag I’m now officially in heaven! So here goes:
***Spoiler alert*** I talk about plots here, so if you have no idea what happens to certain characters or don’t know how it all pans out then WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?!
1. Who is your favourite character?
Well it is undoubtedly Hagrid. He is a big softy, kind hearted and a true animal (or should I say Monster) lover. Who doesn’t love him?! And then there is Snape, finding out the truth about him made me cry for days and his death scene was heartbreaking.
2. Which is your favourite book?
I think my favourite book has always been The Prisoner of Azkaban, it’s just the right amount of fun, humour and darkness. After this book things starts getting more serious, which I love however I also love reading about the general school antics and adventures the children have in their lessons.
3. Which is your least favourite book?
I don’t dislike any of them however the one I find least fun to read is the Goblet of Fire, and I cant even really explain why. I think I have read them all so many times that I know exactly what is coming next, and it is such a long book that it becomes more a chore to get through.
4. Which character is most like you?
Hmmm, tough one! Maybe Hagrid, purely because I am the sort of person who would try to keep a dragon and a three headed dog as a pet, and I’m a bit of a pushover!
5. If you could spend a day as a witch in Hogwarts, what would you do?
Just a day?! That’s definitely not long enough to do all the things I would love to do, however I would probably attend a few lessons especially care of magical creatures, go to the library and steal a few books to bring back home and have a good explore around the castle and grounds. Oh and fly a broom!
6. What is your favourite spell?
That’s easy, Expelliarmus. Mainly because it is the most important spell to Harry and finally kills off Voldemort, but also because me and my sister Sophie (of Sopherina) have a long running joke amount how Snape says it!
7. Is there anything you would change about the plot?
Not really, I’m not clever or talented enough to improve the plot in any way, however I wish Hedwig hadn’t died, that was a really difficult time in my life.
8. Where were you when you started reading The Philosophers Stone for the first time?
I was in Year 5 at school. We began reading it as a class together as part of our reading lessons and even back then it created a stir among my school friends as we all became engrossed and obsessed very quickly!
9. Cho was Harry’s first kiss, who would your first kiss be at Hogwarts?
Haha, well I had a crush on Tom Felton when I was younger (who plays Draco) but I wouldn’t have gone near Draco. I probably would’ve fancied Harry to be honest although Oliver Wood was a bit of alright 😜
10. Finally, is there anyone in reality you’d love to cast a slug puking spell on?
Oh dear! I suppose the first person who has come to mind is Theresa May, she’s not my favourite person having been a police officer for 8 years. I’m sure many of my old colleagues would find it highly amusing to watch her bringing up slugs half way through a budget cutting speech!
I’m tagging one other blogger you should definitely check out and nominating her to complete the Harry Potter tag because I know she is a huge fan! So Sophie of Sopherina – your turn!
